Welcome to Peak Parent Performance
Welcome to Peak Parent Performance, a space dedicated to supporting sports parents who want to help their athletes thrive—both in sport and in life. Whether your child is just starting out or competing at a high level, parenting a young athlete can bring pride, pressure, confusion, and a lot of questions.
This blog is here to explore sports parenting, parent–athlete relationships, youth sports culture, and how parents can support confidence, resilience, motivation, and healthy performance without burnout. Drawing on my experience as a three-time Olympic swimmer, coach, parent, and graduate student in professional counseling, I’ll share insights, tools, and reflections to help families create environments where athletes can pursue excellence while maintaining joy and balance.
If you care deeply about your child, their wellbeing, and their long-term development—not just wins and losses—you’re in the right place. My hope is that this blog becomes a resource for parents, coaches, and sports organizations who want to redefine success in youth sports and strengthen the relationships that matter most.
